Intro to Web Design - .5 Credit
Web Design provides a close look at the programming skills and design techniques required to build a web page. This semester course is designed to introduce high school students to various skills, methods, and techniques related to basic web design, including HTML coding, image optimization, basic animations, rollovers, and Adobe Dreamweaver CS6.
Students will be required to utilize a number of learned web design skills as well as real-life aptitudes such as reading, writing, imagination, self-expression, problem solving, attention to detail, work ethic, follow through, and communication skills. The main focus of this class will be production or the actual creation of web pages and web sites. However, attention will also be given to design: the organization or structure of formal elements in a composition and the combination of details or features of a composition.
